Community Leadership Award Gala

Our Annual Community Fundraising Gala is fast approaching. Thanks to the success of our events in previous years, the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of UNICO National has been able to continue its tradition of lending a “helping hand” to those in our community in need.

While we are a relatively small chapter, we pride ourselves in identifying the extraordinary needs of our community and its families and helping to aid their plight. Through your generosity and support, we have been able to continue to endow scholarships at local high schools and colleges; we have continued our annual turkey basket drive, where we fill 100 baskets with traditional Thanksgiving dinners for distribution by members, allowing the spirit of Thanksgiving to be realized by those who may not have been able to celebrate otherwise; and our busy year comes to a close in the month of December when we host a Christmas party for 125 underprivileged children. Our members become chaperones for a day and assist a child with shopping for presents, and sometimes for basic necessities, for their families.

With your generous support, we expect to accomplish more this year than ever before to help those who need us in our community.

This year’s Community Leadership Award recipients are local individuals who have impacted our community both in their professional and philanthropic endeavors. It is with great pleasure that this year we honor extraordinary Italian Americans:

The Award Gala will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 6:30 PM in Lincoln Hall at The Union League of Philadelphia, 140 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102. A reservation form is enclosed for the Gala and the souvenir ad book.
